Jen is an Academic and Career advisor at CECDC. She has been in the field of education for over 15 years. Jen has worked with thousands of young people throughout the US, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong helping them build stronger relationships, develop clear communication tools and achieve goals through outdoor ropes courses. Through her coaching business, Jen taught math, reading, writing and memorization skills to students who have been diagnosed with learning differences such as ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and executive function deficit. Jen received a BA in English from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a certified Academic Life Coach through the Academic Life Coaching Program. Jen is currently working toward an MA in Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado, Denver. Her particular area of interest is how development of the adolescent brain has a direct effect on social, emotional and executive function skills.
When not at CECDC, Jen loves to be outdoors with her husband and 3 daughters. Favorite activities include road cycling, camping, stand up paddle boarding and cross country skiing in the winter.
