Shadow Day

We know what a big decision choosing a high school can be and we want to help you to pick the school that is right for you. The CECP Shadow Program will give you the opportunity to experience life as a CECP Lion! The CECP Shadow Program is only for prospective students who are currently in grades 8-11.

Each shadow day will be limited to five students. You must be on the CECP Intent to Enroll to be eligible for a shadow day.

Please make your shadow day reservation early.   If you need to cancel, please call 720.638.6824 as soon as possible so that we can make room for other students who may be on a waiting list for that day. We require that parents (not students) make these reservations since students will have to miss a day of school and will need to be excused.

We have many Student Ambassadors who would love to spend the day sharing our school with you, but you may also make a special request. The Shadow Request Form has a place to request a sibling or friend to act as a Student Ambassador for the day and provided their schedule works for that day, we will try to accommodate your request.

Shadow Day FAQs

What should I do prior to my shadow day?

To ensure prospective students are familiar with the CEC program and what we offer, you must be registered to attend CECP for the upcoming school year or attend an informational meeting prior to registering for a shadow dayIf you schedule your shadow day prior to your informational meeting or registering as a student, we will need to cancel your shadow day until you have registered as a student or attended an informational meeting.

What do I wear?

We ask that all visitors comply with our dress code which can be found here

Do I need to bring anything?

CECP recommends bringing school work or a book to read in the event that a class that you are shadowing is taking a test.

Do I need to bring a lunch?

Shadowing students will receive a $5.00 coupon to use in our Lion Café. It is recommended to bring a few extra dollars in case you wish to spend more than $5.00.

Who will I be shadowing?

Visitors will be paired up with a current Student Ambassador. You will attend the classes that they have scheduled for the day. We will do our best to match you with a student who has similar interests. If you know a current student, you may request to shadow them on the Shadow Request Form.
