CECP takes students where they are academically; gets them college-ready as quickly as possible; then provides college courses on the CECP campus as part of students’ normal school day and all at no cost to parents. We also offer the CECP College Direct option where students can take all of their courses directly on the community college campus of their choice while still enjoying the personal one-on-one advising and support of CECP.

The Early College model high school program provides students the opportunity to start working on college-level courses as soon as they are ready, earning a combination of high school and college credits as they pursue both a high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree or higher for FREE.

CECP has adopted a Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness Guarantee in English, reading and math for every student.  Upon graduation, CECP students will be ready to pursue their post-secondary goals without remediation.

CECP strives for each student to experience the following:

  1. Mastery of reading, writing and math skills with the goal of being ready to pursue college courses without remediation.

  2. Access to college courses as a high school student with the opportunity to earn college credits and an Associate’s Degree or higher in addition to a high school diploma.

  3. Academic advising services that include a Student Success Plan and both high school and post-secondary counseling.

  4. Success regardless of background, experience, gender or ethnicity.

  5. Appropriate assessments ensuring accurate placement, regardless of grade level, to promote academic progress.

  6. Quality classroom instruction by engaged, committed faculty.
"CECP prepared me for college in a way that nothing else I experienced did, or even could have.  While all of my friends and roommates were struggling through their freshman year, I already had the requisite work ethic and experience with college-level coursework.  Even just the small stuff, like the fact that RPI uses the same registration software as Metro, made my life here at RPI leagues easier and less confusing."---Grayson Gerlich, 2018 Graduate
